Irene Dioli is a cultural studies researcher at Osservatorio Balcani e Caucaso, an institute of South-Eastern European and Caucasian studies. After completing her MA in Media, History, and Cultural Studies at the University of Bologna with the thesis “Queer theatrical performance and social action in Belgrade”, she has been researching and publishing in the field of queer studies and anthropology of contemporary post-socialist cultures and societies.
